Chex® Party Mix Gift Pack Giveaway

****This giveaway is now closed!****

Ever since I was little it seems like Chex® Mix has always been a sure sign of the Holiday Season!

I can remember the distinct smell of the Original Chex® mix baking in the oven as Mom was preparing a batch.

My Blog Spark and General Mills has graciously given me the opportunity to relive my Holiday memories and take part in a Chex®  party Mix gift pack! *Included in the pack was a box of Rice Chex® , a set of measuring cups and a large canvas party bag!

They want to spread the love around a little more and are offering one of our lucky readers a chance to WIN a Chex® Party Mix Gift pack identical to the one I received.*

What kind of Chex®  Mix would you make if you won?

I made my absolute favorite! Muddy Buddies! And Oh, Boy are they ever delicious! I'll admit its been awhile since I've had them due to my complete and utter lack of self control when they are in the house!

Chex® muddy buddies

Start to finish: 15 minutes
18 Servings (1/2 c. ea.)

9 cups Chex® cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside

2. In 1 quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.

3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

They were super easy to make and while shopping I discovered the recipe was hanging by the boxes of Chex® cereal along the aisle.

  3. I have a long history with the original Chex Party Mix. I just love it! But the Muddy Buddys recipe does sound good since I love anything with chocolate and pb. I just wasn't sure I'd like the powdered sugar on the outside but can see why they have it. The SnickerDoodle one sounds good too! :-)

  6. I am a purist - I love the original Chex Party Mix. If there's a party and someone has brought some HOMEMADE Party Mix, you'll find me standing next to the bowl until it's gone ;)
